My favorite festival
The festival with the most joy and excitement
As a Chinese, I have experienced many traditional festivals. However, the one that makes me feel the most joy and excitement is the Spring Festival. Every year, my family would clean the house, hang up red decorations, and prepare a feast for the reunion dinner on New Year’s Eve.
The best part – red envelopes!
The best part about the Spring Festival is receiving red envelopes, known as “hongbao” in Chinese. These red envelopes contain money and are given by elders to children. It is tradition to give red envelopes to children to bring them happiness and good luck in the new year.
More than just red envelopes
But the Spring Festival is more than just receiving red envelopes. It is a time for family reunions, delicious food, and celebrating the arrival of the new year. During the Spring Festival, there are many traditional activities such as setting off fireworks, playing dragon and lion dances, and eating dumplings.
A festival for all
The Spring Festival is not just celebrated in China, but also in other countries with Chinese communities. It is a festival for all, regardless of nationality or religion. It is a time to have fun, relax, and enjoy the company of loved ones.
In conclusion, the Spring Festival is my favorite festival because it brings joy, excitement, and good luck. It is a time for family reunions, delicious food, and traditional activities. And most of all, it is a festival for everyone to enjoy.
