My Experience of Studying English in Senior High
Learning English is Challenging
Studying English in senior high school can be a challenging task. There is a lot of vocabulary to memorize, grammar rules to learn, and different skills to master, such as reading, writing, speaking, and listening. I used to struggle with English, but over time, I have learned some strategies that have helped me improve.
Developing a Daily English Learning Habit
One of the most helpful things I did was to develop a daily English learning habit. Every day, I would try to read some English articles or news, listen to English podcasts, or watch English movies or TV shows. This helped me improve my reading and listening skills and also exposed me to new vocabulary and expressions. I also joined an English conversation club at school, which provided a chance to practice speaking with other students.
Mastering English Writing and Grammar
However, mastering English writing and grammar remains a challenge for me. I often find myself struggling to put my thoughts into words or understand complex sentence structures. To address this, I have been practicing writing every day. I’ve also been watching grammar videos on YouTube and doing exercises on grammar websites. Additionally, I have been seeking feedback from my teacher and classmates to improve my writing skills.
In conclusion, studying English in senior high school has been a challenging yet rewarding experience. Through consistent effort and practice, I’ve been able to improve my English skills and feel more confident in communicating with others.
