My Experience of Learning English in Senior High School
Starting with a Challenge
English was always a challenge for me. When I entered senior high school, I had only basic English skills and found it hard to keep up with my classmates. However, my teacher’s encouragement and guidance motivated me to work harder and improve my abilities. I started to put in more effort and practice every day.
Challenging Myself to Speak English
Despite my fear of making mistakes, I decided to challenge myself to speak English more often. I started to participate actively in class and to talk with foreign friends on social media. While I was nervous at first, the more I spoke, the more comfortable I became. I also learned from my mistakes and improved my pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary.
Becoming Passionate About English Learning
As I improved, my love for studying English grew stronger. I discovered the beauty of English literature, movies, and music, which motivated me to read, listen and watch more in English. I also joined English clubs and competitions, which gave me the chance to interact with other English learners and exchange ideas.
Achieving My Goals and Beyond
Finally, all my hard work paid off. I scored high on my English exams, and I was admitted to a top university to continue my English studies. However, learning English has also given me more than just academic success. It has opened doors to more opportunities, allowed me to communicate with people from all around the world, and broadened my horizons.
In conclusion, learning English in senior high school was not easy, but it was definitely a worth-while journey. I have overcome my fears, developed my abilities, and gained a passion for a language that has changed my life in many ways.
